International Links
Dublin Airport is connected to most major European and North American cities and has extensive low fair connections (see Aer Lingus and Ryanair). If you can't fly direct then there are regular (and very cheap) links to all of the major London airports.
If traveling from the UK there are cheap ferry options direct to Dublin from Liverpool and Holyhead with Irish Ferries, Stena Line and P&O.
Local Links to UCD
There is a direct bus service from the airport to UCD that costs €6 one way (Leopardstown Route). This bus also drops to the city centre.
There are a large number of regular bus routes to UCD. The most reliable and frequent (46a and 10) leave from Nassau St beside Trinity college.
A taxi from the city centre to UCD will cost about €15-€20 depending on traffic, time etc.
Finding the Venue
The conference will take place in the life sciences building, UCD (No. 16 on this map).
There are a large number of accomodation options near UCD. The University is located on major bus routes from the city centre and the airport.
Accomodation costs having been going down dramatically in recent times so we would advise you to shop around and to haggle where needed! You may get the best rates by ringing or emailing directly rather than going through websites.

If booking a B&B be sure to check how long it would take to travel to UCD during rush hour. Central locations should be fine.

The Montrose hotel is directly opposite the N11 entrance to UCD and offers special rates for conference attendees. Please contact them directly for more information.
Other hotels very close to UCD include the Stillorgan Park Hotel and the Radisson SAS St Helen's. Most city centre hotels are convenient for UCD.
